MICHAELA NOCKER
Founder, creative director
Michaela Nocker is a performer, drama educator and director from Austria. Her studies and training involved German literature and theatre dramaturgy in Graz and Vienna, Austria. She received her master degree at University of Graz, Austria. Currently she holds a DAAD lecturing position for German literature at UNY Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Since 2007, she has worked on various theater projects in Austria and in the project management in cultural institutions abroad, such as the Goethe Institute in Sri Lanka and the cultural forums in Washington DC and New Delhi. As an assistant director and co-director of the international art festival 'kult' she worked in Graz, Linz, Vienna and Berlin. In 2015, she formed the performing artists collective 'UNVEILED' in Kathmandu, Nepal dedicated to the exploration of female identity. Recent productions: ‘Undine leaves’ (2016), Musings of a woman’s mind ‚La nave dei folli /Dunkle Wasser‘, Uferstudios Berlin, ‚MadArt – Art for Nepal‘, Kunstquartier Bethanien, ‚Me & The Other‘, Mandala Theater Kathmandu (2015) ‚Anatol‘ v. Schnitzler, Brotfabrik Berlin (2014); ‚Die Wand‘, Wien/Neu Delhi (2013), ‘Dostojevski’s Demons‘ (2013, co-direction). Video works (together with Gabor Hollos): A piece of mine (short movie, 2017), Longing (short movie, 2017), Sky over Kathmandu (short movie, 2017), What if (video installation, 2015). Awards: Bank Austria Arstists Award 2011, Cultural Award of Upper Austria 2012 (general award for :kult: Das neue Mühlfestival). Her new MADA[r]T concept involves an interdisciplinary approach, using video art, theatre and performing art as well as music improvisation in order to create multimedial productions.
GABOR HOLLÓS
Director and video artist
Gábor Hollós is a freelance director and video artist from Budapest, Hungary. He studied directing at the University for film and theatre in Budapest. After his master diploma he directed Marius von Mayenburgs „Feuergesicht“ at the Katona József Theater in Kecske, worked as an assistant director for Géza Bodolay, and as a director for Roland Schimmelpfennings „Besuch bei dem Vater“. 2013 he documented various project, such as „Völkerschlachten“ at the Schaubühne Lindenfels in Leipzig along with works of the Fringe Ensembles in Bonn. Invitation to the Berlin Theatertreffen 2014. Nomination as best director, Domoter Award (Szeget) 2014 an 2015. Recent works: Tartuffe by Moliere (National Theater, Szeged), Undine leaves Berlin (2015/2016), Frankenstein (Video, National Theater Szeged 2015), Schaubühne Lindenfels: Brodski: Marmor Leipzig, ‚That Moment‘/ ‘What if’– Videoinstallation with Asja Trost & Michaela Nocker, Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin (2015).

CHE SHANKAR
Playwright, Dramaturge, Director
Che Shankar is a Dramaturge, Playwright, Facilitator and Director based in Kathmandu, Nepal. He received his degree in English Literature from Tribhuvan University. He has been working as Founding Director at Garden Theatre, as a director. His major works are Illusion (2012), Purnima (2013), Kohikina Barbad Hos - The White Lie (2015), Marriage Proposal (2015), Look Back In Anger (2015), Krapp’s Last Tape (Eklabyakko Antim Tep)- 2015 and Enigma (2015). He has participated in many International theatre festivals as an actor and director. His plays are staged in Nepal as well as Sydney and Melbourne (Katha nalapaniko) -2015.
SILVIA PURBA
Director
Silvia Purba is a Lecturer, actor and Director based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. She received her bachelor and master degree in Theater, Indonesia Institute of the Arts, Yogyakarta (Insitut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta). She has been working as an actor and manager in Lembaga Teater Perempuan, and independence work as a director. Works as an actor are Jonggrang-Shanghai (2016), Pilihan Pembayun-Yogyakarta & Jakarta (2014). Major works as a director are Eclipse on the way to love-South Korea (2015), Karo Theater Hip hop KAI-Yogyakarta (2012), The Second Moon-Yogyakarta (2012). Currently: Lecturer at Department of Theater, Faculty of Performing Arts, Indonesia Institute of the Arts, Yogyakarta (Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta).
