Elisa, young, hopeful and determined to make her fortune in a new land, struggles to survive. Because of old debts and a new sales job for which she needs a work permit, she tries to borrow money. She needs money to work. And she needs work to earn money. So she reports at the Anatomical Institute to sell their body during her lifetime. When this does not work, the taxidermist of the institute is touched and lends her the necessary money. Shortly thereafter, he learns that Elisa uses the money to pay her criminal record, which she received for acting without a work permit. He charges her with fraud and she is sentenced to 14 days in jail. Later, when a young policeman falls in love with Elisa, she does not tell him to go to prison. She supposed to become his bride. But one day her past comes to light and the police officer has to decide between her and his career. He leaves her. Again alone, without work, without money, without a human being, Elisa finds no meaning in her life ....
